LANSING (WTVB) - With just under 100 days and counting until the presidential election in November, a new poll shows President Obama taking the lead over Mitt Romney in Michigan. At least in the latest Epic MRA poll, the President has a 48 to 42% lead over the presumptive Republican nominee. That’s up from a 46 to 45% lead for Romney in the last poll taken by this group. Other polls have shown the President consistently 4 to 6 points ahead of the Republican in Michigan, with about 10% undecided.
The numbers in the US Senate Republican primary race show Pete Hoekstra with a commanding 52% to 27% lead over Clark Durant with their showdown just a week away. The other candidate, Randy Hekman has just 4%. In the main event, Democrat Incumbent Debbie Stabenow has a commanding 49% to 35% lead over Hoekstra, with 16% undecided.
