COLDWATER (WTVB) - It looks like another bump at the pump is headed our way. We just absorbed one spike at gas stations in Branch County this week that put the price at around $3.80 a gallon and Gas Buddy-dot-com’s Patrick Dehaan says we could be flirting with $4 a gallon by the end of today, and certainly by the end of the week. He blames the shutdown of Line 14 in Wisconsin, which has been repaired since a major leak last Friday, but has not been cleared by regulators to resume pumping oil. DeHaan says there are also problems at refineries in the Midwest. He says we could be stuck paying the higher prices until the problems are fixed and production resumes. He says they will fall back to the mid-$3.00 range and should stay there for the rest of the summer, barring any more refinery malfunctions.
