HOLLAND (WHTC) - A Holland plant that produces bed springs could close its doors before the end of the year. The parent company of Holland Wire Products has announced it will consolidate production at a facility in North Carolina, resulting in the local plant being shut down. A spokesman for Hickory Springs Manufacturing Co. says the Holland plant’s 39 employees have been offered the opportunity to transfer to the North Carolina facility, and that several managers have already accepted positions there. The closure is expected take 4-6 months to complete. Holland Wire has been in business since 1960.
