COLDWATER (WTVB) - Teamwork on-going between the community and schools in Coldwater was on display Friday with a clear sign that a major sports venue renovation project is underway. The baseball concession stand-public address box for Lowe Field at Coldwater High School was demolished yesterday as ground preparations began in earnest for the installation of stadium seating along with a press box, new concession stand, restrooms and scoreboard renovations. It’s part of an all encompassing effort of the Coldwater American Amateur Baseball Congress and the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club to underwrite improvements for Lowe Field and the adjacent practice facility as well as for Borden Field, located at the Little League complex at Heritage Park. Significant contributions as well as in-kind service donations have put the 100-thousand dollar plus projects in motion although additional commitments for funding are still being sought to put all of the finishing touches in place for Coldwater’s Field of Dreams.
