GIRARD TOWNSHIP (WTVB) - A Branch County motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon sent the biker to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo for treatment following the crash that occurred in Girard Township. Sheriff’s Deputies say a Lake County, Michigan man was headed south on his motorcycle along Old 27 and was attempting to pass another southbound vehicle when the accident happened. Because of northbound traffic, 25-year old Joshua Blount of Chase, Michigan was forced to swerve back into the southbound lane and that’s when he lost control and rolled his bike. Blount was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to the Community Health Center of Branch County before being transferred to Borgess, where today he is listed in stable condition. Deputies cited Blount for no cycle endorsement
