COLDWATER (WTVB) - Republicans statewide will decide today who will challenge Incumbent U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow.  Holland’s Pete Hoekstra has been leading in the polls, but Clark Durant said as he campaigned in Kalamazoo and at the Branch County Fair yesterday that he is hoping that a surge of Tea Party supporters will give him a “Snyder Miracle” and put him over the top today. Durant thinks recent polls showing that he is a better candidate against Debbie Stabenow will put him over the top.   Hoekstra says with his experience in Congress and party support and endorsements, that he is the better candidate.  Judge Randy Hekman is the third man in the race, but he has never polled above single digits.
