ZEELAND, MICHIGAN (WTVB) - Senator Debbie Stabenow has hope for the state's agriculture industry now that disaster loans are available for Michigan farmers impacted by drought. Stabenow says while the damage is widespread, she hopes low-interest loans to Michigan farmers will help to hold back the financial impact along the supply chain due to the damage. She dropped by Zeeland with a more positive message, as well, Tuesday, speaking about the state's agriculture industry ties to bio-based manufacturing and how she hopes advancements will lead to sustainable job growth.
