LANSING (WTVB) - Governor Rick Snyder has ordered U.S.flags to be lowered to half-staff on Monday in honor of Marine Gunnery Sgt. Daniel J. Price of Zeeland. The 27-year old Price died July 29^th while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan. Immediately following his graduation from high school in 2003, Price joined the Marine Corps. He served three tours of duty in Iraq, where he was promoted to sergeant, and three tours in Afghanistan. He received the Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, three Combat Action Ribbons and three Good Conduct Medals. Funeral services for Price are tomorrow in Holland.
