COLDWATER (WTVB) - Tuesday was the candidate filing deadline in Branch County and Michigan for the November School Board elections and clearly the most interest in the county is in Bronson where a total of 7 names will be on the ballot. In each district, two trustees will be elected to six year terms.
In Coldwater, Quincy, and Union City, two incumbents will each be facing a challenge from one candidate. In Coldwater, seeking re-election are Robin Iveson and Jean Milnes with Randal Ritchie also seeking a seat on the board. In Quincy, it’s Tyler Baldwin and Alan McClellan hoping to serve another term on the school board with the challenge coming from Rowdy Gibson. In the Bronson school district, board president John Lindsay is not seeking re-election while incumbent Deb Balowski will be up for another term on the board. The half dozen candidates in the race with Balowski are Jeff Lake, Mike Roberts, Raymond Weinberg, Chad Davis, Lynn Mayer and Dennis Sikorski. And in Union City, Jean Goodrich and Charlotte Lewis have filed for re-election with Amber Herman facing off against the two incumbents.
