COLDWATER (WTVB) - In Branch County high school sports, the fall schedule is starting to get busy already even though the new class year for student athletes is still more than two weeks away. The Coldwater boy’s tennis season starts this afternoon at the Vicksburg Invitational while in girl’s golf, Coldwater has its second match this week with today’s Hillsdale Invitational at the White Oaks golf course. And reserve teams will usher in the beginning of two more fall sports activities today. In freshman volleyball, it’s Coldwater at the Comstock Invitational while in junior varsity boy’s soccer, it’s Coldwater at Vicksburg. Tomorrow, the varsity volleyball season for Branch County schools tips off with Coldwater, Quincy, and Union City competing in the Battle Creek St. Philip Carrie Adams Invitational while at Bronson, it’s the Bronson Viking Invitational. Finally, in football, there’s scrimmage action today for Quincy with the Orioles travelling to Hudson.
