LANSING (WKZO) -- A ballot proposal is being pushed by Ambassador Bridge owner Matty Maroun to require a second bridge between Detroit and Canada be approved by voters, but that is being challenged. A group opposed to that proposal is set to file a legal challenge to Maroun's ballot initiative, saying it will have unintended consequences.
Governor Snyder and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced the second bridge earlier this summer, which will be entirely paid for by Canada. Michigan's share will come from tolls collected in Windsor.
