World number one Swiss great Roger Federer has been installed as the top men’s seed for the 2012 U.S. Open, which begins Monday at the USTA National Tennis Center in New York. Federer is the reigning Wimbledon champion and a five-time U.S. Open titlist. The women’s seed listings come out today.
