LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan’s Lottery Bureau says that one of two ticket holders who got five numbers right, and won a million dollars in Wednesday record breaking drawing has come forward.
Patricia Giar of Freeport in Barry County stopped by the East Paris Discount liquor store in Kentwood. She says she is an infrequent player who wanted a shot at the big Jackpot. She says her only plan at this point is to pay off all her bills.
Lottery Spokesperson Andi Brancato says the big winner is the state’s schools and its children.She says 97% of the income they generate goes into the schools.
