AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- Chrysler workers can expect bonus checks this holiday season. On December 21, roughly 26-thousand Chrysler Group LLC US factory workers will receive 1,750-dollar bonus checks.
The checks are the second half of a bonus for workers for signing the contract between the company and United Auto Workers in 2011. Employees at General Motors and Ford received full signing bonuses of 3,500-dollars up front after signing the contract last year, while Chrysler workers got only half.
The rest was to be paid out when the company achieved a fourth consecutive quarter of sustained profitability, which Chrysler expects to report in January.
