LANSING, MI (WKZO) -- We knew pair of million dollar prizes were won in Michigan last Wednesday when that record Powerball Jackpot was given away.

One jackpot went to a Barry County woman who came forward last week. Patricia Giar says she only plays when the jackpots get really big.

The other winners came forward this week. Eugene and Nancy Gaspar of Dearborn have both survived cancer and wondered how they were going to make ends meet as they neared retirement.  That problem was solved when they got 5 of the 6 numbers right in last Wednesday’s drawing.   They say the numbers they used were a compilation of their Grandchildren’s birthdates.
