LANSING, MI (WHTC) - The die has been cast in Lansing.
Governor Rick Snyder, flanked by the leaders of both the state House and Senate, announced Thursday morning that he’s endorsing the “Workplace Fairness and Equity Act,” better known as right-to-work legislation. Mr. Snyder felt that this legislation could help counter the strong, militant union perception about Michigan that has given businesses more than a second thought about locating in this state. Although he had been hesitant to tackle this issue during his first two years in office, the Governor admitted that he couldn’t avoid it anymore. Lawmakers have two weeks to get the Workplace Fairness and Equity Act passed before the current session adjourns.
