LANSING, MI (WKZO) -- The Lansing Fire Department reportedly inspected the State Capitol Building over the weekend and established its capacity at around 2,000. That’s far fewer than are expected to show up tomorrow to protest, but far bigger than the number in the Capitol when the public was purged from the building last Thursday. It took a Judge’s order to reopen it.
The ACLU has reportedly asked that the Governor veto any bills that were approved during the 5-hours when the Capitol was closed, and at least once lawsuit has already been filed claiming it was a violation of the open meetings act.
