COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)­ - Tuesday's morning's light snow in Branch County caught many motorists off guard when all of sudden, with areas of black ice and slippery conditions. The snow, combined with sub freezing temperatures and moisture from the day before combined to create scattered slick spots on a number of highways, bridges, and overpasses.

Branch County 911 Central Dispatch was quite busy for a couple of hours with more than a dozen slide offs or rollover crashes. No serious injuries were reported.
