Federal mediators will rejoin the NHL labor negotiations when talks resume today at an undisclosed location. NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said the session will not be held in New York City like previous meetings.
The NHL and Players' Association met with federal mediators on November 28th and 29th, but those meetings broke off without any progress being made. On Monday, the NHL cancelled games through December 30th. Overall, 526 games have now been wiped out to account for nearly 43-percent of the regular season.
