BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - A couple of anxious moments this morning in Bronson for a few passengers on a Branch Area Transit Authority bus after it backed into a Consumers Energy Power pole. The old pole on South Street near U.S. 12 on the city’s west side snapped in half. The pole support fell across the roof of the bus with the power lines laying close to the side of the bus, but not touching it. The Bronson Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance were called to the scene shortly after 7:30 a.m. to stand by. The bus driver kept everyone calm inside the bus as the cables and power lines were secured by the Consumer’s crew. There were no injuries.
