BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - There is a meeting tonight at 6:30 pm at the Community Theater in Bronson where updated information will be available and discussed concerning the idea of developing a bike trail along a 20-mile stretch of railroad track between Coldwater and Sturgis. Apparently, a number of property owners whose land sits alongside the rail line aren’t aware of the matter. Scheduled to chair tonight’s meeting is Eric Eishen, a Bronson Township property owner. The rail line is owned by the Indiana Northeastern Railway System, which has submitted a track abandonment request to the Federal Surface Transportation Board. That section of line between Coldwater and Sturgis has not been in use for at least ten years.
