COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - In Branch County high school sports, a day after there were no events on the schedule, there’s boy’s and girl’s basketball tonight including the Coldwater Lady Cardinals at home against Jackson Northwest. We’ll have the game on the radio with our live coverage on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 getting underway at 7 o’clock. We’ll also be streaming the audio on-line at wtvbam.com.

The j-v contest tips-off at 5:30 with no freshman contest. The Coldwater freshman boy’s team will be in action tonight at Fremont, Indiana. The Cardinal’s varsity boy’s squad is idle until Friday when its plays at home against Marshall.

Elsewhere this evening, in boy’s hoops, Quincy plays at home against Springport, Bronson hosts Climax-Scotts, and Union City hosts Tekonsha.

In middle school sports, in boy’s basketball last night, Bronson split a pair of games at Battle Creek St. Philip. The host Tigers won the 8th grade game 46-to-43. Justin Robinson had 20 points and 20 rebounds for Bronson. The Vikings beat St. Philip in the seventh grade game 45-to-32. Ethan Cossairt led Bronson with 21 points.

Today on the Coach’s Corner, it’s Quincy Girl’s Basketball Coach Dana Clark.
