COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) _ There was a bad traffic accident Monday on River Road in Coldwater Township. A man driving a pickup truck had to be flown from the scene by helicopter to a Kalamazoo hospital for treatment. The pickup apparently rear ended a garbage truck near Almary Drive. It happened around 12:45 yesterday afternoon.

The Coldwater Fire Department was called to help free the driver who was trapped for a short time in the wreckage. No names have been released and no information about the collision is available from the State Police who are handling the accident report.
