The Tennessee Titans played the role of spoiler to perfection on Monday night. With the Jets' playoff hopes hanging in the balance, the 5-and-9 Titans intercepted New York quarterback Mark Sanchez four times in a 14-10 victory in Nashville. New York needed to win its final three games to have a shot at a playoff berth but instead dipped to 6-and-8.
The Lions, who have been a post-season afterthought with their 6-game losing streak, won’t be making any changes just to make changes. Those words Monday from Detroit coach Jim Schwartz, who said Matthew Stafford will stay his starting quarterback and that he never thought of benching him following his 3 interceptions, 2 of which were returned for touchdowns, in the Lion’s 38-to-10 loss Sunday at Arizona. Detroit will kickoff NFL Week 16 with their Saturday night game at Ford Field against the Atlanta Falcons.
