The second-ranked Michigan Wolverines are off to their second best start in school history with 12 straight wins after rolling past Eastern Michigan 93-to-54 last night at Crisler Center. Tim Hardaway Jr. tallied 17 points, seven assists and five rebounds, leading five Michigan players who scored in double figures. The Wolverines school mark to start to a season was their 16-and-0 record to begin the 1985-1986 schedule.
Last night’s 39-point win was Michigan’s largest margin of victory this season. The Wolverines have one more non-conference game remaining against Central Michigan a week from tomorrow and then it’s on to Big Ten play beginning January Third at Northwestern.
