Michigan State yesterday lost out to Duke in the bidding for super recruit Jabari Parker. The Chicago Simeon Career Academy 6-8 senior had been scouted by M-S-U coach Tom Izzo since Parker’s freshman year.

During his live televised news conference Thursday on ESPN, Parker said the main reason he went with Duke was because of the possibility of having to share court time with Michigan State star sophomore Branden Dawson.
