KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Narcotics officers from the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department made a pair of meth busts Thursday.
One in Hartford resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old man on a charge of operating and maintaining a meth lab after Hartford police stumbled across meth cooking materials in a home in the 100 block of North Maple Street. They were investigating another unrelated matter at the time.
A few hours earlier, acting on a tip they raided a home on North Paw Paw Street in the Village of Lawrence. They found a one pot meth lab cooking away, as well as the materials to fire up a series of additional meth labs. They also found the debris and wastes from previous cooks stored in an unattached garage.
Charges are pending against a 51-year-old man, a 53-year-old woman and a 38-year-old woman, none of whom were arrested.
