UNDATED (WTVB) - If you filled up in the last week or so, those lower prices were nice for a change, but if you didn’t, you might want to do it soon. Gas Pollster Trilby Lundberg says prices fell to their lowest level all year this past week. However, she doesn’t think they are going to stay lower for long.
The average price nationally fell to $3.25 a gallon, down 58-cents in the last 11 weeks and down 71 cents from the 2012 high. She says retailers have some margin to catch up because crude is on the rise and gas prices will follow. She says that’s assuming Congress and the president can cut a deal to keep the country from falling off the Fiscal Cliff. The clock is winding down on the cliff talks with less than a week left.
