BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO) -- Kellogg has asked the Battle Creek police to help them find a former employee who may have walked off with a company laptop, cell phone and credit card.   They say the 45-year-old former Portage man was on disability leave, resigned at the end of November and they have not been able to contact him.

He has allegedly used the card to buy airline tickets and make purchases at Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond and even Victoria’s Secret worth $21,661.  They call that embezzlement.  They believe he is living in Virginia but can’t contact him.

Kellogg bounced back in the fourth quarter after supply chain problems forced cereal recalls and a shortage of Eggo waffles due to contamination problems.  Sales in the fourth quarter beat analysts’ expectations rising to 232-million, beating the 189-million earned during the same period last year.  Revenues were also up higher than analysts predicted.  Sales in the U.S. were up seven-percent, offsetting declines in European and Latin American sales.
