Michigan State is now ranked seventh in the country in the latest Associated Press poll and eighth in the coach’s poll following the Spartan’s upset victory Saturday at Ohio State. The win allowed M-S-U to move into a tie for first place in the Big Ten with the Buckeyes.
Michigan State senior forward and captain Draymond Green was named Big Ten Player of the Week yesterday. Green averaged 17.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in M-S-U’s victories over Penn State and Ohio State.
The Spartans return to action Thursday against Wisconsin at the Breslin Center. Michigan this week is ranked 17th by the A-P and is 19th in the coach’s poll.
