SAN FRANCISCO -- Remember Pete Hoekstra’s Super Bowl ad?  The one featuring a Chinese woman attacking Democratic incumbent Senator Debbie Stabenow?  It was widely criticized as racially insensitive, if not racist. It turns out that woman is a San Francisco based Actress named Lisa Chan who is now apologizing for appearing in the ad, calling it a mistake...saying on her Facebook page. “I am deeply sorry for the pain that my portrayal may have caused my community.”

Hoekstra’s campaign is no longer using the ad.
