COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Branch County District Court Judge Brent Weigle has set bond at a half million dollars for a Mendon man charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder in connection with a bar fight last Friday night in Quincy.
Thirty-five-year old Robert Cummins is accused of stomping the head of a Coldwater Township man, 37-year old Michael Vaughn. Sheriff’s Deputies say the beating happened outside the Idle Inn after the two men had been fighting inside the bar and were told to leave.
Vaughn is listed in serious but stable condition at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Cummins is due back in court for a preliminary exam on March Fifth.
