QUINCY, MI (WTVB) - No pay raises yet for a number of Quincy Village employees. Last night, the Village Council decided to table the proposed hikes until its March meeting so it can hold further discussions on the increases.
Non-union staff pay increases have been proposed for the Clerk-Treasurer, Utility Billing Clerk, Utility manager, Street Superintendent, and a part time DPW worker. However, Village Manager Eric Zuzga tells us with a big cut in health care costs that the Village staff agreed to this year moving to a high deductible HSA plan, the proposed raises will still result in lower costs to the Village.
The expected reduction in health care is $17,000-20,000. The proposed total increase in wages is less than $6400
