COLDWATER, MI (WKZO) - It not only snowy outside, it’s also the coldest weather we have seen so far this winter season. If you're having trouble with your heating bills this winter, remember -- there are places to turn for help.
Thanks to recent legislation, Michigan does have an over 48 million dollar fund set up to give assistance to those struggling to stay warm for the next few months. The Vulnerable Household Warmth Fund was set up as a temporary measure for this Winter while the legislature tries to figure out a better, long term, way of helping out the poor with heat during the winter. Again, call Community Action Agency if you're having trouble.
