The Lions have agreed to a contract extension with head Jim Schwartz. Word of the deal broke early this past weekend, but the length of the multi-year agreement and financial terms remain undisclosed, per the club policy. 

The 46-year-old Schwartz has taken the Lions from a 0-and-16 record to a 10-and-6 playoff team in just three seasons. He was set to enter the final year of a four-year contract he signed prior to the 2009 season.
