HOLLAND (WHTC) - The case will proceed against a Holland pastor who refused to leave City Hall last fall to protest the City Council’s decision against expanding an anti-discrimination ordinance to include sexual orientation and gender identity. District Judge Susan Jonas has ruled that the city did not violate the Rev. Bill Freeman’s free speech rights when police arrested him last October, two hours after a City Council meeting ended, when he refused to leave the building. The case could go to trial later this month.
