ZEELAND (WHTC) - Construction will begin Friday on a nearly $1 million road project in Zeeland. State Street will be milled and repaved over the next couple of months between Roosevelt Avenue and Business I-196, and a new water main will be installed in the area of State and Roosevelt. Also in the project are sanitary sewer improvements and sidewalk upgrades to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The project is getting $357,000 in federal funding, with the city, Board of Public Works and Clean Water Plant picking up the rest of the tab.
