BETHEL TOWNSHIP, BRANCH COUNTY (WTVB) Branch County Sheriff’s Deputies say proper safety belts and a child restraint seat along with air bags all contributed in preventing serious injuries in a nasty looking head on traffic accident yesterday afternoon in Bethel Township. Deputies say 50-year old Reginald Rupp was southbound onBlock Roadjust north ofPearl Roadwhen he drifted left of center. That’s when his car collided with the northbound vehicle driven by 20-year old Emily Harvey. Both Rupp and Harvey are from Coldwater. Harvey’s child under a year old was in the back seat.
The only injuries reported were minor lacerations. The Sheriff’s Department said neither alcohol or nor cell phone operation were factors in causing the crash that happened around 3:45 p.m. yesterday.
