LANSING (WTVB) U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow came to west Michigan Monday to take a first hand look at the devastation caused by this year’s unseasonable and farmer unfriendly weather, and while there isn’t much she can do to bring the rain, she says the new farm bill will provide a little more security in the form of crop insurance when the worst happens.
It’s passed the Senate by a large margin and now awaits a vote in the U.S. House.
