DETROIT (WKZO) -- A state representative was robbed at gunpoint in Detroit during a trip to a store near his home on Sunday.
Representative Jimmy Womack, of Detroit, says that he had just left a corner store near his home when he was approached by three armed men. The suspects demanded that Womack give up his car and when he refused, they took nearly 300-dollars from him instead.
Authorities say they have one suspect in custody in connection with the robbery.
