Former Red Wing and Dallas Stars forward Mike Modano headlines a group of three selected to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame on Wednesday. Modano is the highest-scoring American player in NHL history with 561 goals and 813 assists. Modano, who played in Detroit toward the end of his 21 NHL seasons, also holds the record for most postseason points by an American. He won a Stanley Cup title with Dallas in 1999.
