LANSING, MI (WTVB) - A state audit shows that drunk driving deaths are down in Michigan. The 2011 Michigan Drunk Driving Audit issued by the Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center shows a decline in alcohol and drug related crashes. Overall, alcohol and drug related crashes dropped by 10.6% from 2010. The annual report also shows that drug involvement in traffic fatalities fell roughly 17%, while alcohol involvement declined 3%.
