COLDWATER (WTVB) - The severe drought conditions continue for most of Branch County. So far this month, with July half over, Coldwater has officially received just over a third of an inch of rain. The average precipitation total for the month is 4-and-a-quarter inches. It follows a dry June when the rainfall total in Coldwater was 0.63 of an inch with the normal average for June at 3.5 inches. The ten day weather forecast calls for only a scattered chance of thunderstorms, at best, on a couple of days between now and the middle of next week with the continuation of above normal temperatures.
