COLDWATER (WTVB) - A Branch County Sheriff’s Deputy last night was able to chase down a speeding motorcyclist in Coldwater Township when the biker crashed on a curve, but another one he was in pursuit of got away. The incident happened around nine p.m. and started when the two cycles were spotted going around 80 mph down River Road near Hodunk Road. The chase continued as the motorycycles turned east onto Narrows Road and thenone biker laid his machine down on a curve near Woodland Drive.
30-year old Troy Price of Coldwater suffered scrapes and bruises but the Sheriff’s Department said he refused medical treatment at the scene. He was booked at the County Jail on charges of fleeing and eluding and operating while impaired.
