DETROIT (WKZO) -- Two alligators were found at a Detroit apartment complex Monday night.  According to authorities, one of the reptiles was retrieved from an apartment complex located on East Jefferson Street.

Officials did manage to capture one of the alligators, however the second one got away and is believed to have gone into the Detroit River.  The captured reptile will be taken to the Bell Isle Conservancy.

Police are still trying to figure out where the alligators came from.
