The Red Wings are one of six NHL teams that Columbus high scoring forward Rick Nash has listed as a possible destination as part of the trade clause in his contract with the Blue Jackets. However, the Columbus Dispatch reports that Detroit’s offer to the Blue Jackets generated no conversation or negotiations. A couple of Red Wing names that were reportedly mentioned in trade scenarios were Johan Franzen and Valtteri Filppula. Columbus, though, doesn’t really seem interested in letting the face of their franchise move anytime soon.
