A pair of athletic department projects at the University of Michigan that will further display the major impact that football has on the U-of-M campus were approved Thursday by the school’s Board of Regents. They gave the go-ahead for a 9-million dollar renovation and expansion of Schembechler Hall, which is home to the Michigan football offices. And nearly 3-million dollars will be spent to erect a large marquee screen outside Michigan Stadium between the Big House and Crisler Arena. The can’t miss sign to promote upcoming athletic events and achievements will be 27-feet high, 48-feet wide, and stand 21-feet off the ground.
