COLDWATER (WTVB) - The Coldwater School District administration is reminding the public that there will be two vacancies on the Board of Education coming up at the end of this year on December 31^st with the last day for candidates to file for the November election less than a month away. A board seat is now a six-year term. Candidates must be a registered voter and a resident of the Coldwater School District. Interested persons can obtain nominating petitions at the school’s administration service center on Sauk River Drive or at the Branch County Courthouse in the County Clerk’s office. Board of Education candidates also have the option of paying a non-refundable filing fee of $100 instead of filing a petition. The last day to file petitions or submit the filing fee with the County Clerk election coordinator is Tuesday, August 14^th.
