COLDWATER (WTVB) - It will be a somewhat busy meeting for Coldwater City Engineer Charlie Bauschard on Monday night when the Coldwater City Council gathers in regular session. Bauschard will be briefing the Council on a number of projects scheduled for this summer and not all of them are especially popular with city residents. Chip and seal pavement maintenance with its dust, loose aggregate, surface vibrations and road noise will be happening on sections of South Sprague, Riverside Drive, and Smith Street. There’s also repaving and seal coating coming up for the Heritage Pool parking lot as well as the Rumsey, Roosevelt, and DMS parking lots along with the Heritage and Waterworks basketball courts in addition to 3 miles of public trails that need seal coating. And last, but not least, Bauschard will review for the Council what areas are proposed for the upcoming sidewalk rehabilitation projects, which include constructing new sidewalks and ADA ramps and critical spot repairs as funding allows.
