UNDATED (WKZO)  --  In the wake of the deadly theater shooting in Colorado, AMC Theatres are immediately banning masks and bulky costumes and any toy weapons from their theatres.

Goodrich Quality Theatres no longer will permit masks. Most areas chains say they had already beefed up staffs and security, knowing there would be big crowds for the third film in the Batman Trilogy. Police agencies say they may be sending a few extra patrols near theatre complexes, but it isn’t deterring many from theatres.

Most are pragmatic enough to know that the incident near Denver was a one time anomaly and not likely to occur anywhere else
